Police: Gurnee man shot to death in Kenosha

Authorities in Wisconsin identified a 23-year-old Gurnee man on Monday as the person killed in a shooting last week in Kenosha.

Malik D. Boyd died early Saturday after being found by police responding to reports of gunfire about 2:10 a.m. near the 3000 block of Roosevelt Road in southwest Kenosha. He was taken to Froedtert Hospital, Pleasant Prairie campus, where he died, police said.

There were no other victims and no one is in custody, according to police.

Authorities are asking that anyone with information about the shooting or who may have observed or heard any type of disturbance in the area of 30th Avenue and Roosevelt Road shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday call the Kenosha Police Department Detective Bureau at (262) 605-5203.
