LCDOT holding public meeting on Weiland Road project in Buffalo Grove

The Lake County Division of Transportation will host a public meeting Wednesday to provide information about the north Weiland Road Project in Buffalo Grove.

The meeting is set for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Buffalo Grove Village Hall, 50 Raupp Blvd.

The project will reconstruct Weiland Road from two to five lanes, with a center turn lane through a majority of the project. It will be constructed in two separate sections, from north of Lake-Cook Road (Woodstone Drive) to south of Deerfield Parkway and north of Deerfield Parkway to Aptakisic Road.

Construction associated with the south project began in 2019 and is ongoing. Advanced utility work has begun north of Deerfield Parkway in preparation for the start of construction of the north project this spring. Both projects will continue throughout the year.
