Healthy Lombard to host annual kite fly at 'Take Time For Tots Day'

On Saturday, March 21, the Lombard Park District offers "Take Time For Tots Day," jam-packed with activities for preschoolers to age 8 and their families from 10 a.m. to noon at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, 820 S. Finley Road, Lombard.

Every spring, kite enthusiasts celebrate the history and the future of the world's favorite pastime by letting their kites fly. It is a month to celebrate the joy and happiness that comes from letting out the line, letting your kite catch the wind, and letting that kite soar high into the sky.

At "Take Time For Tots Day," kids will have the opportunity to create and fly their own kite with assistance from Healthy Lombard board members, middle schoolers from the Islamic Foundation School in Lombard and interns from the National University of Health Sciences.

If weather permits, attendees will then be encouraged to experience the joy of kite flying on the Sunset Knoll field!
