Community meeting Monday on Lake Villa District 41 referendum

A community meeting regarding a referendum to fund building projects in Lake Villa Elementary District 41 will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, March 2, in the administration center at Palombi Middle School, 133 McKinley Ave., Lake Villa.

In December, the school board agreed to put a question on the March 17 primary ballot asking voters for approval to borrow $30.7 million for school building projects. The request has been simplified and the amount being sought reduced from the $50 million request voters rejected last April.
