No Lake Zurich Craft Beer Festival on tap for 2020, organizers say

The Lake Zurich Craft Beer Festival won't be pouring pints in Paulus Park this year.

The fest will go "on hiatus" in 2020, according to a recent post on the Village of Lake Zurich's Facebook page. The change was prompted, in part, by previous struggles with unpredictable May weather.

"The event has struggled finding a calendar date with more predictable, specifically warmer weather," the Facebook post said. "Both the previous October dates and more recent May dates have seen attendance declines due to inclement weather. Other than weather, a number of craft beer industry changes were considered by the committee, sponsors and vendors in coming to this conclusion."
