Household chemical waste collections upcoming in Gurnee
The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County will host household chemical waste events on March 14 and March 23, at its facility, 1311 N. Estes St. in Gurnee.
Appointments are required and collections are for residential waste only. No business waste will be accepted. The event is free, but for Illinois residents only.
Accepted items include: CFL bulbs, unwanted prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines, household cleaners, gasoline, garden chemicals, pesticides, oil-based paints (no latex paint) and varnishes.
