True grass-roots problem solver
I'm not much for establishment politics and I pay more attention to local elected officials because it is more important than whatever is coming out of Washington, D.C., on cable news networks.
That being said, there is a candidate in Illinois 66th District running for state rep that fits the bill for me, and I hope he can get to Springfield come November. Jim Malone is not a machine Democrat and he's not in the pocket of the wealthy. He's a sheet metal worker from Carpentersville and is not receiving any support at all from party leadership.
This is a grass-roots campaign that the residents of the 66th district should get behind because of the four people running in this race among the parties, Jim Malone is the most stable choice for the middle class.
The incumbent in this race votes no on everything unless it involves a constituent being allowed to carry a firearm anytime, anywhere. The legislation he has sponsored and put forth is not focused on jobs, roads, our schools, etc. This individual has laser focus on guns, guns, more guns. Where is the money for infrastructure in the district? Where are the jobs? The district has not been represented in Springfield in an effort to serve their best interests, and an incumbent having been on the last ballot unopposed does the constituents of the district no justice.
We need leaders who are working people who will support everyone within their district's borders, especially other working people. I recommend residents of the 66th district get to know more about Jim Malone, regardless of which way you lean. He's beholden to no one but the voters and residents of the 66th. We need more people like him in Springfield to protect and serve our best interests.
