How to treat each other
For the past few months, I have been walking using a cane. I was surprised seeing the reactions of the people that I approach. All moved aside, opened doors, and smiled. Leaving a crowded restaurant, there were two kids rough-housing, their parents pulled them aside so I could pass. Some repositioned themselves even though there was room for me to pass safely. Would it not be nice if people would treat each other as if everyone was carrying a cane?
