Don't be fooled on health care
I find it very interesting how some of the Republican congressional candidates in the 14th Congressional District race are now claiming to be in favor of health care. Really? At what level? Or is this just what came up when reviewing their recent polling results? Two of the candidates are current State Senators and both voted against any health care improvements for workers in both the state and private sectors. Meanwhile, President Trump wants to take heath care away from 23 million Americans.
Congresswomen Lauren Underwood has diligently worked to implement heath care under the Affordable Care Act and voted to protect the ACA act - with preexisting conditions included.
Underwood is fighting to lower health care premiums. She introduced the Primary and Behavioral Health Care Act to make primary and mental health services more accessible and is fighting to lower prescription drug costs.
Question for the Republicans: If you're an elected state senator and have voted against health care 100% since elected, how can we trust you to vote for affordable health care in Congress? Do not be fooled.
Actions speak louder than words.
