Democrats set bar for impeachment too low

It seems everyone knows the details of what President Trump has done and agrees it was wrong, but the country seems evenly split if he should have been convicted or acquitted on the Articles of Impeachment. He was accused of abuse of power because of a two-month delay in sending military and security assistance to Ukraine that was authorized by Congress. He was holding it to pressure Ukraine to find information on how Hunter Biden became a member of Burisma's board of directors.

Biden had no qualifications, so the question seems did Burisma pick him to gain favor with then-Vice President Joe Biden or was a deal arranged before he was given the position? The end result was Ukraine got their aid and no information on the Bidens was given to Trump. The Senate determined that there were no impeachable offenses.

Now look at the 2012 Obama incident when he was speaking with Russian President Medvedev, not knowing his mic was on. He was caught saying, "On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this can be solved, but it's important for him (Putin) to give me space. This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility." It seems he was lying to the American people about his relationship with the Russians, colluding with a foreign power to help himself politically and compromising our allies defenses against Russia.

Trump is being criticized for withholding military aid to Ukraine when they needed it to defend themselves against Russian backed rebels. But after colluding with the Russians during the 2012 campaign, Obama and Biden gave no lethal aid to Ukraine in 2014 when Russia forcibly annexed Crimea, even after President Poroshenko came to Washington pleading for weapons. Seems very hypocritical and raises questions about possible secret deals between Obama and Putin. The Democrats may someday regret setting the impeachment bar so low.
