Two hurt in Elgin crash

Two people were injured in an Elgin crash Thursday night, officials said.

The crash happened shortly before 6 p.m. in the 200 block of South McLean Boulevard, according to Elgin Fire Battalion Chief Dick Cummings.

The two injured people were taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Cummings said the injuries weren't serious and the incident was a "routine call."
