Missing Aurora teen considered endangered person

Aurora police are asking for help locating a teen girl who's been missing since December.

Jenifer Gonzalez, 15, left her Aurora home Dec. 8, 2019, and hasn't returned since, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.

She's run away from home before, but usually contacts family while she's gone and returns home after a few day. Gonzalez is now considered an endangered missing person, the release said.

Gonzalez is 5-foot-3 and 160 pounds with long, black hair and brown eyes.

Detectives have followed numerous leads about where Gonzalez could be without any luck. There hasn't been any contact from Gonzalez in weeks, the release said.

Anyone with information about where Gonzalez could be should contact the Aurora police at (630) 256-5000 or call 911.
