Benet's Holmes reaches 1,000 points

Benet senior guard Kendall Holmes on Wednesday night scored 26 points to reach the 1,000-point mark as a Redwing.

Benet (25-2, 7-0) won the East Suburban Catholic Conference girls basketball game against St. Viator 57-49 to finish unbeaten in league play.

Holmes, a DePaul recruit, now has 1,003 points. She hit six 3-pointers in the game.

Senior point guard Ashley Berry added 8 points for Benet.
