Suburban dance teams advance to state finals

High school dance teams from across the suburbs have advanced to the final round at the state meet.

The top 12 squads in each of three divisions after Friday's preliminaries will compete Saturday at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington.

Qualifying teams from the Daily Herald coverage area were:

Class 1A - Aurora Central Catholic.

Class 2A - Geneva, Lake Zurich, Libertyville, Mundelein, Wauconda, Fenton, Antioch.

Class 3A - Stevenson, Lake Park, Barrington, Huntley, South Elgin, York, Warren, Naperville North, Bartlett, Waubonsie Valley.
