Millennium Bank receives Community Enhancement Award

DES PLAINES, IL. (Jan. 28, 2020) - Millennium Bank, a minority owned community bank, received the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce Community Enhancement Award during the Mayor's Annual Address to Business at Manzo's banquets on Jan. 23.

"An integral part of our role as an economic engine is our involvement in the communities we serve" said President and CEO of Millennium Bank, Nicholas Dizonno. In Jan. of 2019, Millennium Bank initiated a Charitable Giving & Donation program and has since provided over $60,000 worth of charitable gifts and donations to businesses, nonprofits, churches and schools within Des Plaines and the surrounding communities in 2019 alone - doubling their 2018 numbers of charitable gifts and donations.

For the past 55 years, the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce has recognized businesses that have gone beyond the norm by improving their business or initiating a new program within their business for the betterment of the Des Plaines community. Qualifications for the Community Enhancement Award include: initiating a new business development or expansion; business rehabilitation or renovation; substantial increase in employee base; new program development; companies that donate or give back to the community.

"Our charitable giving & donation program has allowed us to support valuable causes that enhance the vitality of our neighborhoods, celebrate community success and support local organizations."
