Gurnee library invites children to make valentines for veterans

As a way to honor and give thanks to military veterans, the Warren-Newport Public Library is inviting children to make valentines for them next week. Children from kindergarten to fifth grade will be able to come to the library's Maker Space anytime during business hours from Saturday, Feb. 1, to Wednesday, Feb. 5, to make valentines. The event is free. The library will provide the materials and no registration is required. The library is located at 224 N. O'Plaine Road in Gurnee.
