Northern Kane County Chamber honors Dundee Lions as top nonprofit organization

The Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce recognized the Dundee Lions Club as the top nonprofit organization in the area for 2019.

Melissa Hernandez, chamber president, presented the award to Lions President Michael Buhrmann at the Lions January club meeting.

In 2019, the Dundee Lions Club had its best fundraising year. This enables the club to provide many grants to a variety of local charities. Some of the charities include FISH Food Pantry, Community Crisis Center, and Boys and Girls Club of Dundee Township.

In addition, the Dundee Lions major focus is to help the visually and hearing-impaired. The Dundee Lions provides glasses and exams for children in need as well as seniors.

The Dundee Lions are always interested in new members willing to serve the community.
