A reminder to make abortion unthinkable
On Friday, Jan. 24, people from across the country will gather in Washington, D.C., for the 47th Annual March for Life. People of all ages, ethnic groups, and socio-economic backgrounds will join together and march through Washington, D.C., to remind the world that the abortion laws of the United States allow for the killing of innocent human beings and are an affront to human rights.
Over 60 million human lives have been exterminated by abortionists in the years since Roe v. Wade was decided in error in 1973. Legal or illegal, the killing must stop. We, as a society, cannot claim the moral high ground on the world stage as champions of human rights so long as we accept the slaughter of the innocents in the womb.
To be a truly progressive society, we must reject the killing of the unborn. It's time to support women who are facing an unplanned pregnancy with life-affirming alternatives that respect both their dignity and the dignity of their unborn children. It's time to make abortion unthinkable.
