Elgin's First Congregational Church to ask what it means to 'Fish For People' Jan. 26
On Sunday, Jan. 26, the Rev. Jesse Tanner will preach on how Jesus' command to "fish for people" is more about social inclusion than exclusion at Elgin's First Congregational Church.
Rev. Tanner says, "In a time of increasing division among people, cultivating a sense of welcome and acceptance, and inviting others to join in, is the most healthy and helpful response."
Worship services are at 8:15 and 10:15 a.m. at the church, 256 E. Chicago St. in downtown Elgin.
