Arlington Heights' Metropolis adds comedy shows, concerts
Metropolis Performing Arts Centre in Arlington Heights announced additions to its spring lineup that include the return of Chicago-area native and Broadway veteran Liz Callaway and an April Fool's Day stand-up showcase featuring four funny females.
Callaway, a Tony Award-nominee who is a regular on concert and cabaret stages, performs at 7:30 p.m. March 26. Tickets are $40 and $45.
Jeanie Doogan, Sally Edwards, Michelle Krajecki and Katie Meiners are the comedians performing at 7:30 p.m. April 1 as part of Metropolis' comedy jam. Tickets are $25.
Rock Island singer-songwriter Lissie Mauros, who appeared on the latest incarnation of David Lynch's "Twin Peaks," headlines a 7:30 p.m. concert on March 28. Tickets are $35 and $40.
Ronnie Rice, of The New Colony Six, hosts a combination concert and singalong on April 3. Tickets are $30 and $35.
Comedy Dance Chicago, whose female members combine physical comedy, wordplay and music, headline a 7:30 p.m. show on April 23. Tickets are $30.
