Schaumburg Township hosts 6-week diabetes workshop

Join Schaumburg Township for a free six-week workshop called "Take Charge of Diabetes" that was designed by Stanford University to help people manage their chronic conditions.

Trained facilitators will run the workshop from 9:30 a.m. to noon every Tuesday from Jan. 21 to Feb. 25 at the township building at 1 Illinois Blvd. in Hoffman Estates.

Some of the topics covered include healthy eating and nutrition, stress and depression management, how to be a healthy caregiver, problem solving, meeting personal goals, partnering with your health care provider and more.

The class will be offered in partnership with AgeOptions, the Area Agency on Aging for the Schaumburg Township.
