Prepare to leave before music stops

On Dec. 31, the Daily Herald covered three items, one regarding population loss, one tax increases and one ethics reform. Two of the three scream the reason for the first. Gov. Pritzker says he's trying to fix the state by increasing taxes and increasing dollars to schools. Well, J.B., the only people you listened to were the people who needed money, not the payees.

My taxes are have not decreased. They have increased. The schools have increased taxes. year after year after year after year.

What's not mentioned here but earlier in the week is pensions. Pritzker wants to have a graduated tax for the wealthy. but he is spending the money before he even has the tax in place that will fail.

It hasn't worked in other states. Why will it work here. To everyone, you build a home to raise a family and stay until Mother Nature takes you. Only Illinois forces the people to leave before that time comes. All the naysayers who will make comments about this, remember the game musical chairs. Time to leave before the music stops
