Businesses needed for D211 Career Expo

Township High School District 211 will hold its third annual Career Expo from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at William Fremd High School, 1000 S. Quentin Road, Palatine.

The expo, open to all District 211 students, gives area businesses the opportunity to showcase their career opportunities as well as inspire and guide students who may soon make up their future workforce.

Following a successful expo in 2018 that saw more than 150 business representatives meet with hundreds of students, District 211 staff began planning for future events.

The second Career Expo, held in March 2019 at Schaumburg High School, saw an increase in both business and student participation.

District 211 Internship Coordinator Jan Brottman said that this year the district is looking at an anticipated participation of approximately 200 businesses. While registration has already reached more than half of that, space is still available. Businesses who would like to participate can register at https://adc.d211.org/domain/4783; click on "Business Information." There is no cost for businesses to participate.

For more information, contact Brottman at (847) 755-2657 or jbrottman@d211.org.
