Questions of accountability
Imagine if a champion athlete or a movie star had a charity to aid vets or hurricane victims, but it was determined in court that he used the donated funds for his own personal use. Certainly he would lose any endorsements he had if not his job.
Imagine if a top aide in a major corporation was proven to be a white supremacist. He would be forced to resign and an apology would be made by the corporation, especially if the issue involved immigrants or people of color.
Or if Vito Corleone made an offer that could not be refused to a struggling nation - not for the good of the people, but to obtain a lucrative contract - that would be a job for the FBI. Or if a CEO or actor boasted of molesting women or publicly ridiculed individual women, children or disabled persons, surely their careers would be over. Heck, Billy Bush lost his job just for being in the same room.
One would think that the president of the United States and his lieutenants would be held to a higher standard. Instead the world has gotten so divided and crazy and stupid that he is held to no standard. The enablers should be ashamed.
