Diversity emphasis is dangerous

I commend Walter Williams' for his excellent article "Diversity bureaucracy fights colleges' imaginary grievances" on Jan. 1, which illustrates the new "Balkanization" of American society. We are no longer Americans. Social media now has American society defining ourselves by tiny units of every which type of segmentation.

And the perceived special privileges of the few leading to imaginary grievances with no room for dialogue has turned the political correctness police into the new Gestapo, NKVD and Stasi. I believe this trend at our campuses is more of danger to American society than the political divide so often talked about in the press.

At least with political differences, we can always vote a party or an individual in or out of office by exercised our democratic rights at the polling booth.
