Wear green to York High School alumni night

The York Community High School Alumni Association will sponsor an alumni night at the school's home basketball game Thursday, Jan. 16, against Oak Park River Forest.

The game also will be a "Green Out," so fans are encouraged to wear York apparel or green and white colors.

The varsity game will tip off at 7:30 p.m.

The Alumni Association will have a table in the front lobby selling alumni merchandise, passing out information about the association, and distributing free raffle tickets to all alumni for a basket containing merchandise, including a $100 Elmhurst City Center voucher.

The winning ticket will be announced at halftime.

Additionally, there will be an informal gathering for all interested alumni at The Silverado Grill at 447 Spring Road in Elmhurst following the game.

The mission of the York Alumni Association is to serve and support the school and its alumni by fostering and enhancing communication and camaraderie among alumni; maintaining a strong relationship between the school and its alumni; preserving, promoting, and celebrating the history, traditions and memories of York; and contributing to the growth and welfare of York and its students.

The association is free to join.
