Wauconda falls in OT

Wauconda's girls basketball team started the new year with a 47-45 loss in overtime to host Marian Central in Woodstock on Monday night.

The Bulldogs trailed by seven points midway through the fourth quarter but forced OT with the score tied 43-43.

Wauconda (9-5) was playing its first game since Dec. 21, when it completed play in the Northern Illinois Holiday Classic with a 52-48 win over Marian Central at McHenry.
