Fox Valley police reports

Batavia

• A storefront window on the 200 block of West Wilson Street was reported damaged at 9:13 a.m. Dec. 30. The repair cost was estimated at $500.

• Two windows on the 0-99 block of Batavia Avenue were reported damaged, possibly with BB guns, at 12:55 p.m. Dec. 28. The damage was estimated at $2,000.

• Denise M. Algee, 37, of the 900 block of Bluestem Drive, Geneva, was charged with retail theft of $69 in clothing at 5:08 p.m. Dec. 24 at Walmart, 801 N. Randall Road, according to police.

• A laptop computer, clothing, a wallet and other items were reported stolen at 1:22 a.m. Dec. 23 from a vehicle on the 200 block of South Randall Road.

Kane County

• Katherine Jeffries, 60, of the 400 block of Florida Avenue, Aurora, was charged with DUI, fleeing/attempting to elude, driving on the wrong side of the road, no insurance, and failure to reduce speed after she nearly struck a squad car while driving in the wrong lane near Keslinger and Peck roads near Geneva at 1:20 a.m. Dec. 26 and then crashed into a ditch a short time later, according to a sheriff's report.

• A snowblower and exterior air conditioning unit, a total combined value of $4,700, were stolen between Dec. 27 and 7 a.m. Dec. 29 from a house on the 10N700 block of Second Street in Elgin Township.
