Mission is targeted

I am a representative of many of the citizens of Aurora. We want to give our viewpoint on the issue of Wayside Cross Mission.

The mayor and his group have a dream to change Aurora from a fine factory town to a place for the artsy and the elites. He has red-lined downtown to start this, and Wayside is inside the circle. It has nothing to do with sex offenders and a playground.

I have read about cities doing this to become more artsy and elite. It is called socioeconomic red-lining and it is wrong.

The mission is an asset to the community. The mayor is starting with the sex offenders with the ultimate goal of moving the mission out for the elites.

It is wrong and we want to be heard.
