Three events topping Elmhurst chamber's calendar

The Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and Industry has several major events planned for the coming month. Here's a quick look ...

• Elmhurst is among nine chambers of commerce hosting the annual State of DuPage County Multi-Chamber Luncheon and Expo featuring DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Chicago-Downers Grove, 2111 Butterfield Road. The cost is $35 for members and $50 for others. Register at elmhurstchamber.org.

• Mayor Steve Morley will give his State of Our City address at a membership breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, in the second-floor Hammersmith Community Room at Community Bank of Elmhurst, 330 W. Butterfield Road. Complimentary breakfast and beverages will be available. While the event is free, seating is limited to 150. The program will be taped by "Elmhurst Our Kind of Town" for broadcast in February on Channel 6 of Comcast and Channel 99 of AT&T U-verse.

• The 101st annual Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce and Industry Award Gala is from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at The Drake Oak Brook Hotel in Oak Brook. The evening includes a complimentary cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres at 5 p.m., awards program at 6 p.m. and post-awards party with buffet dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $100.
