Two hurt in Lake Zurich car crash

Two people were hurt Wednesday afternoon in a car crash at a Lake Zurich intersection.
The two-vehicle accident happened about 1:30 p.m. on South Rand Road at Cuba Road. A 2003 Chrysler headed south on Rand collided with a 2015 Hyundai headed east on Cuba. One of the cars hit a utility pole, too, Lake Zurich police said.
One person from each auto was injured and taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital near Barrington. The injuries were not life threatening, Lake Zurich firefighters said.
Two other people in the vehicles weren't injured.
The southbound lanes of Rand Road were closed for about 30 minutes after the crash, police said.
