Start here on taxes
Gov. Pritzker just announced he will spend $5 million of his own money to lobby for his progressive income tax. A suggestion for the governor. Why not start by having him and his family start paying Illinois income tax on the reported tens of millions of dollars the Pritzker family reportedly is squirreling away in offshore U.S. tax avoidance accounts? That would be a far more significant gesture to assure the wealthy pay their fair share.
