Bubble Bash welcomes New Year at DuPage Children's Museum

The entire family can ring in the New Year together with a Countdown to Noon celebration at the DuPage Children's Museum.

Bubble Bash: A Kid-Friendly New Year's Eve runs from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the museum, 301 N. Washington St., Naperville.

A portion of the proceeds helps to fund museum exhibits and programs.

Families will spend their morning exploring the museum's hands-on exhibits, taking part in activities, enjoying live musical performances, and more.

This year's live entertainment features Wendy and DB along with a DJ from Bach to Rock Naperville.

Wendy and DB, an award-winning Children's Music Duo, will have families singing, dancing and jumping along with their original songs and upbeat lyrics.

Each song encourages imagination and exploration.

The Bach to Rock DJ will provide family-friendly music throughout the event.

Special activities include Shake Your Music Maker, Pump Up Your Party Wear, Glow Your Mind (a fluorescent art experience), Baby Paint Your Fireworks, Stick It, Sweet Treats, face painting, a photo booth and more.

"This event is all about creating memorable experiences - whether families are creating their own musical instruments to make some noise at the countdown or mixing their own fluorescent dough to take home," said Michelle Gonzalez, museum experience manager. "Children will have the opportunity to play with our exhibits and also create an array of items to celebrate the new year before our 'choose your own countdown' at noon."

The morning concludes with three different countdowns.

Attendees can choose to ring in the New Year with confetti, bubbles, or a sensory-friendly quiet countdown.

Tickets for Bubble Bash are $20 for members and $25 for others. They can be purchased online at dupagechildrens.org/bubble-bash, by phone at (630) 637-8000, or in person at 301 N. Washington St., Naperville.
