Antioch to decide pot stance
The Antioch village board on Thursday will consider whether the sale of marijuana for recreational use should be allowed in town. Options will be discussed during a special meeting beginning at 6 p.m. at village hall, 874 Main St. The board will consider two alternatives: whether to authorize and regulate sales related to dispensaries only or allow multiple-forms of marijuana-related businesses; or, to opt out and prohibit the sales of marijuana. The sale and use of marijuana for recreational use becomes legal in Illinois on Jan. 1.
