Batavia

• Dheanne L. Whitson, 53, of the 500 block of West Grant Highway, Marengo, was charged with retail theft of $80.94 in food items at 5:31 p.m. Monday at Walmart, 801 N. Randall Road, according to police.

• The antenna on a vehicle near the intersection of North Kirk Road and Hubbard Avenue was reported bent at 10:13 a.m. Friday. The vehicle also had its rear taillights broken and a quarter panel was dented, according to police.

• William A. Peters, 48, of the 1100 block of West Wilson Street, Batavia, was charged with DUI, DUI with a blood-alcohol concentration of .08 or more, improper lane use and leaving the scene of a property damage accident at 2:35 p.m. Dec. 10 after a traffic stop on the 1400 block of Nagel Boulevard, according to police.

Kane County

• A Samsung Note 8, valued at $450, was stolen between 10:30 p.m. Dec. 11 and 6 a.m. Thursday from an unlocked vehicle on the 600 block of Loucks Street near Aurora.

• Cesar Saul Zuno Huarach, 32, of the 1100 block of Shuler Street, Elgin, was charged with DUI and improper lane use after a crash at 5:47 p.m. Friday at Route 47 and Thurnau Road in Rutland Township, according to a sheriff's report. A blood draw at a hospital after the crash showed his blood-alcohol concentration to be .211; the legal threshold in Illinois is .08.
