Stevenson stays perfect in North Suburban

Matthew Ambrose scored 14 points, and Stevenson's boys basketball team remained undefeated in North Suburban Conference action by beating host Lake Zurich 61-36 on Tuesday night.

R.J. Holmes added 10 points for the Patriots (8-1, 3-0). Lake Zurich fell to 3-5 and 1-2 in the NSC.

Round Lake 78, Rochelle Zell Jewish 50: Hakim Williams and Deveauntay McNeal each scored 16 points, and the visiting Panthers picked up the nonconference win.

Kevonne Peterson added 12 points for Round Lake (6-2), which handed Rochelle Zell Jewish just its third loss in 11 games.

Waukegan 44, Lakes 40: The host Bulldogs picked up their first win of the season after eight losses.

Lakes fell to 3-5 with the nonconference loss.
