Can't trust candidate who won't listen

In your coverage of the race in the 6th Congressional District recently, you quoted Jeanne Ives' comment about climate change as, "This district does not believe it is the biggest threat to our future."

But how would she know?

Because, for several months, Ives has been quietly blocking dozens of potential future constituents on social media from voicing their concerns while shutting down legitimate questions about her positions. In fact, when finally asked about this, Ives bluntly responded "My page. My rules."

Really? Those "rules" seem pretty disqualifying for someone who wants us to trust them with decisions that affect the lives of our families and friends.

Clearly, if candidate Ives covers her ears and coarsely disallows the voices of voters now, then she can't be trusted to serve our voices in Washington in the future.
