District 220 makes College Board's honor roll

Barrington Area Unit District 220 is one of just 250 school systems in the United States and Canada to receive a spot on the College Board's 10th annual Advanced Placement District Honor Roll. It was the fifth time in the past seven years District 220 landed on the list, which released recently. To be included on the honor roll, Barrington 220 since 2017 has had to increase the number of students participating in AP courses, while also boosting or maintaining the percentage of students earning AP Exam scores of 3 or higher. Reaching these goals shows District 220 is successfully identifying motivated, academically prepared students who are ready for AP. "This honor is a recognition of efforts made by our teachers and community to provide a rigorous and high quality education to all Barrington 220 students," Barrington High School Principal Steve McWilliams said.
