One injured in Elk Grove Village crash

A two-vehicle crash in Elk Grove Tuesday night left one man in the hospital and his vehicle with severe damage following a fire.

The crash occurred at Nerge Road and Parker Place just before 5 p.m. Tuesday. The Elk Grove Village Fire Department arrived shortly after to find a truck in a backyard and on fire.

Both vehicles suffered moderate damage. Authorities extinguished the blaze and took the truck's driver to a local hospital.

Elk Grove Village police are continuing to investigate the incident.
