MBX Cares Volunteers at Bernie's Book Bank
Employees from Libertyville-based technology company MBX Systems volunteered their time on Dec. 6 at Bernie's Book Bank in Lake Bluff to help sort and bag gently used books destined for at-risk youth in the Chicago area.
The event was part of MBX Cares, a company-sponsored philanthropic program that gives each full-time employee one paid day off every year to volunteer. MBX organizes more than a dozen volunteer activities annually and also allows employees to volunteer at a nonprofit organization of their choice.
