Eat breakfast with Santa at Palatine American Legion

The Sons of the American Legion are holding a special Holiday Pancake Breakfast with Santa from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the American Legion Hall, 122 W. Palatine Road, Palatine, to raise funds for Legion Family Charities.

Children will be able to tell Santa what they want for Christmas and get a picture with the Jolly Old Elf for $5; $3 with the donation of a nonperishable food item.

The Sons of the American Legion will be serving all-you-can-eat pancakes and French toast along with sausage, scrambled eggs, fruit, orange juice, coffee and milk. The breakfast costs $9 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-12 and free for kids ages 4 and younger.

"We are always looking for new members for the Palatine Sons of the American Legion," said Gerard Iannuzzelli, Commander of the Sons of the American Legion. "If you are interested in supporting those individuals who have defended our country, then the Sons of the American Legion is the organization for you.

"Dues are $16 per year or $69 for five years. If you have any questions on the Sons of the American Legion or any of our activities, call us at (847) 359-1606."

The Sons of the American Legion was created in 1932 as an organization within the American Legion. The Sons of the American Legion is made up of boys and men of all ages whose parents or grandparent served in the United States military and became eligible for membership in the American Legion.

There are currently 300,000 members of the Sons of the American Legion in this country and abroad.
