Winter giveaway for the needy at the Antioch Senior Center

Antioch Traveling Closet will host a winter giveaway from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Antioch Senior Center, behind the fire station at 817 Holbeck Drive.

Clothing, shoes, cleaning supplies and toiletries will be offered to those in need at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to safety reasons, strollers, car seats, wagons or shopping carts are not allowed.

Visitors also can get their blood pressure or blood sugar level or cholesterol checked or get a sports physical. Representatives from the Antioch Area Healthcare Accessibility Alliance will be on hand to answer questions about medical insurance and provide assistance.
