Holiday light recycling in Mundelein

Mundelein residents can recycle holiday lights between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. weekdays through Jan. 31 at four locations: village hall, 300 Plaza Circle; public works, 440 E. Crystal St.; fire station #1, 1000 N. Midlothian Road; or the police department, 221 N. Lake St.

Bulbs don't have to be removed from strands but should be removed from boxes and plastic. Lawn ornaments, other decorations or light strands connected to wreaths, garlands or other material will not be accepted. Limit is two 25-foot strands or equivalent length. Call (847) 949-3270.
