Arlington Heights man returns home safely

A 74-year-old Arlington Heights man who went missing Tuesday night returned home safely on his own Wednesday morning, police said.

Authorities earlier issued an endangered missing person advisory after the man left his residence on Catino Street at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday and could not be located.

Police said he returned home unharmed about 9 a.m. Wednesday.
