Palatine American Legion hosting fundraising breakfast Dec. 14

Palatine's Sons of the American Legion will host a special holiday fundraising pancake breakfast with Santa Claus on Saturday, Dec. 14.

The breakfast will go from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the American Legion Post 690 hall, 122 W. Palatine Road, and the public is invited.

Money raised will go to Legion Family Charities. On the menu will be all-you-can-eat pancakes and French toast, accompanied by sausage, scrambled eggs, fruit, orange juice, coffee and milk. The breakfast costs $9 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 12 years old. Kids 4 and younger eat free.

Palatine Sons of the American Legion Commander Gerard Iannuzzelli said children may give their gift list to Santa and have a picture with him for a $5 donation, or $3 with the contribution of a nonperishable food item.
