Holiday Happenings brings good cheer to Arlington Hts.
Sleigh bells will be ringing, carolers will be singing and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting Arlington Heights as part of Holiday Happenings @ Harmony Park from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the corner of Campbell Street and Vail Avenue.
Help pack the park for one of the community's newest holiday traditions. Festivities include horse-drawn trolley rides, carolers, food vendors with sweet treats, a popcorn wagon, roasted almonds, hot chocolate, a petting zoo and the Holiday Happenings Selfie Station.
New this year is a "Wishful Linking" garland station, where visitors and residents are asked to write down their good cheer messages for themselves and the community of good neighbors. The Wishful Linking garland will adorn the holiday tree in Harmony Park. The village plans to add to the garland each year.
Santa will arrive at the park around 5:15 p.m. on his firetruck sleigh.
The free event is sponsored by the Village of Arlington Heights. The village thanks ComEd for its donation.
