Tree Lighting at Prince of Peace UMC

Prince of Peace United Methodist Church is hosting a tree lighting ceremony at the church on December 1st at 6 pm. The huge evergreen tree that sits at the corner of Arlington Heights Road and Devon Avenue will shine brightly for all who pass by thanks to the generosity of Jack and Connie Groat.

The community is invited to join in the tree lighting. Christmas carols will be sung, led by members of the church choirs. Cookies, hot chocolate and coffee will be served. The church will be accepting donations of new or gently used boots and snow pants for the Township Snow Angels program benefitting needy students attending District 59 schools.
