Unused bikes for those in need
Round Lake Park police have partnered with the nonprofit Working Bikes organization to ensure unclaimed or abandoned bicycles are distributed to those in need. Discarded or unused bicycles can help provide access to jobs, education, medical attention and other resources. Locally, Working Bikes donates to individuals and partners with organization to provide transportation to those in homeless transition, refugee resettlement and youth programs. Round Lake Park police will continue to distribute bicycles within the village. Anyone with a bicycle to donate can bring it to the police department, 215 E. Main St. (Route 134).
