Grains mostly higher, livestock lower
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were mixed Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for Dec. delivery gained 1.40 cents at $5.1340 a bushel; Dec. corn was up .20 cent at $3.6840 bushel; Dec. oats rose .60 cent at $3.12 a bushel; while Jan. soybeans fell 2.80 cents at 9.0140 a bushel.
Beef and pork were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Dec. live cattle off .20 cent at $1.1925 a pound; Nov. feeder cattle lost 4.75 cents at $1.4120 a pound; Dec. lean hogs fell .60 cent at .6098 a pound.
