Bartlett police receive 7th reaccreditation award

The Bartlett Police Department has received its seventh reaccreditation award from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) since being initially accredited in 1997. Successful accreditation is a mark of law enforcement excellence. CALEA seeks to improve law enforcement service by maintaining a national body of standards developed by law enforcement professionals.

Bartlett Police Department was also awarded the status of "Accreditation with Excellence" for a fifth consecutive time. Very few accredited agencies have achieved "Accreditation with Excellence" five times.
